There had been a moody trail of storm-blackened days that week, so we expected greyness. Instead Manchester knocked us sideways with its beautiful habit of flipping the switch around 4pm and blasting us with one of those summer evenings that makes you stop and marvel, eyes soaking in the light, ears tuning into ice cream van chimes five streets over. I had a blissful time hanging out with Meg and Calum, in one of my favourite Manchester parks – Parsonage Gardens in June feels like an outdoor rave for plants and blooms and bees! Getting to know two such gentle, generous, thoughtful people and take their pictures in amongst all the leaves gave me one of my favourite summer evenings of the year.
Together with some images that I absolutely love.
